Petitions should give people a safe, factual, and constructive way to create change.
Do
- Name a decision maker and a concrete ask.
- Check claims and link reliable sources.
- Protect the privacy and safety of affected people.
- Use images you own or have permission to use.
- Correct AI-generated mistakes before submitting.
Don’t
- Threaten, harass, or dehumanise people.
- Publish private personal information.
- Make unsupported criminal or defamatory allegations.
- Promote fraud, dangerous misinformation, or unlawful action.
- Upload copyrighted images without permission.
